Description
Daniel and I started this project purely out of passion for travel. It grew into a philosophy, and now we're trying to see if there's a viable business model that we can pair it with. What do we do? We guide people who have a gap year and want to use this time for travel and self-discovery. We've explored different ways to facilitate this and came up with a coaching format, as well as reflective booklets.
Goals
We hope to provide more meaningful and deeply personal lessons to travellers this way. We also believe that whatever the destination may be, travellers should look for ways to give back to their host country. This could be through cultural interaction, ethical consumption or cooking a dish for locals. We've tested this concept on a participant who travelled to Peru and Bolivia. He valued our coaching and learned a lot.
(Beneficial) outcomes
Our next goal is to turn this into a business (making a website, handling all the legal requirements and getting a clearer value proposition). That way, we can financially sustain ourselves while helping our clients find themselves and having a positive impact on the places they travel to.
